Still 'not logged in' after logging in via Shibboleth or Athens

Logging via Shibboleth/Athens will allow you access to all of your institution's holdings/subscriptions on link.springer.com 

 

There are 2 ways for how you can tell that your log in via Shibboleth or Athens was successful. 

 

1.       Check the footer of the page. Before logging in via Shibboleth or Athens, the bottom of your page should look similar to example 1.

      After logging in with your credentials, the bottom of the page should look similar to example 2 with showing your institutions name and (account number).

Please note that “Not logged in” appears on both pages and does not relate to your login via Shibboleth or Athens. That message is for personal accounts only. 

 

 

2.       Try to access content subscribed by your institution. 

Once you’re logged in you will have immediate access to the content your institution subscribes to. When you attempt to access content, you will notice the “Access is provided by” (your intuitions name) near the top or near the middle of the chapter/article page. See example 3 below.
