IP Authentication

For institutions that have a dedicated set of IP ranges, IP access is the most common and simplest method of authenticating access to SpringerLink content. Any person browsing SpringerLink whose IP is detected as being within one of those ranges will be recognised as belonging to that institution and will see subscribed content as unlocked.

Our systems are currently unable to support the IPv6 IP format. If you wish, you may contact your Licensing Manager to raise your interest in IPv6 access.

To get IP access set up, please email our Online Service Team at onlineservice@springernature.com with your Customer ID and IP addresses.
